CCC Foundation annual fundraising event to help support student needs. Engage with various programs, departments and associated staff and students while enjoying a variety of appetizers from Clatsop County vendors. […]
Thank you to all of the donors, sponsors, and supporters of the Clatsop Community College Foundation. Because of you, the Foundation has more than doubled the amount of support provided to the students and programs at CCC.
Included with the additional support is the Magic Opportunity Fund that was established from our 2022 Be Part of the Magic fundraising event. Over $105,000 was raised to help reduce financial barriers for CCC students enrolled in certificate and degree programs. During the 2022-23 academic year, 70 students received a $1,500 stipend based on financial need, which was awarded at $500 per term.
At the end of spring term 2023, 83% of recipients (58 out of 70) compared to 60% of non-recipients either completed or enrolled in Fall term courses. Because of the success of the Magic Opportunity fund to help students achieve their goals, the Foundation is providing $105,000 from this fund to support up to 70 CCC students for the 2023-24 academic year.
Asher Finch is a 2023-24 CCC Foundation Student Ambassador, as well as the Associated Student Government President. Asher shares how gifts to the CCC Foundation impact our students and community. Thank you to Asher and our other student ambassadors: Frankie Gentry, Kris Reid, Argie Mendez, and Flint Largin.
The CCC Foundation appreciates the partnership with the student ambassadors in the first year of this program to inspire and engage the community in support of CCC students so they can achieve their goals!
For students living with their parents, the total cost of attendance per term is over $5,400.
The total cost to attend three terms is over $16,300 a year.
In addition to covering the cost of tuition, fees, books and supplies, basic needs like housing, food and transportation are financial barriers for CCC students working to complete their education.
Monthly gifts make a BIG impact towards helping CCC students achieve their goals:
