Clatsop Community College is hosting the Tillamook Bay Community College Truck Driving Training Program in Astoria for area residents to have the opportunity to become a CDL Certified Truck Driver. Students in this program can earn a CDL in Astoria in 4 weeks. The application for the program has a deadline of January 29th although the class does not start until March 18th and runs through April 12th. Students must commit to classes Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to receive the certification. The 4-week training session will consist of 1 week of classroom training and 3 weeks of field training on location.
The approximate fee cost for the compete program is $5000 with partial scholarships available through Tillamook Bay Community College.
