Don’t have a high school diploma?

Clatsop Community College can assist you in obtaining the equivalent to a high school diploma—the GED®—which will enable you to pursue further education, improve your employment status, or fulfill a personal goal.

Adult Basic Skills

Clatsop Community College offers Adult Basic Education (ABE) instruction for students who wish to improve their basic reading, writing, and math skills. Students attend these classes for a variety of reasons, to increase workplace skills and fulfill a desire to raise their personal educational level.

Our vision is to serve as an effective resource for the community that responds to the educational and career needs of our community. 

The mission of ABE department at CCC is to provide residents of Clatsop County with effective GED preparation, English language acquisition and basic skills learning opportunities. Our goal is to empower students to improve literacy skills, enter college and/or training, and acquire needed knowledge and skills to become successful learners, workers, family and community members.
