Lunchtime Movie Matinee: The Secret Science of Sewage

Dr George McGavin and Dr Zoe Laughlin explore one of the UK’s biggest sewage works, a hidden world we rarely get to see. Processing one billion litres of wastewater a day – including what 1.7 million people flush down the loo – the program reveals the mind-boggling science behind how sewage is treated and what it tells us about how we live today.
Bring your lunch (or not) and enjoy a fascinating film in the company of friends. The Dora Badollet Library on CCC’s Lexington Campus will screen each movie twice, Tuesdays at noon and Wednesdays at 1. Each screening is about an hour long and will be held in the Library Lounge. If you prefer to watch the film from the comfort of your home or office, that’s also an option; they’re all in our Films on Demand database—just log in using your email/MyCCC username and password.
