Jarrod Hogue Begins Presidency at Clatsop Community College

Clatsop Community College is pleased to announce that Jarrod Hogue has been named the new president of the college. The CCC Board of Education unanimously approved President Hogue’s contract on August 20, 2024, with an official start date of August 21, 2024. The contract was signed during a brief ceremony attended by Board of Education Chair Ed Johnson and President Hogue.

With this appointment, President Hogue will lead approximately 135 full-time faculty and staff as the college enters its 66th year of serving the community. “This is probably the most critical decision that this board will ever make,” stated Johnson. “We welcome Jarrod to the college and support him as he steps into this leadership role.”

Prior to his appointment at Clatsop Community College, Hogue was the principal of Math Mentors, a math tutoring company he founded in 2022. He brings a wealth of experience from his 14-years of service at Mt Hood Community College, where he held the position of Executive Dean and Chief Academic Officer. In these roles, he oversaw various critical programs, including career and technical education, workforce development, and high school and community education initiatives.

Raised in St. Helens, Hogue now resides in Skamokawa, Washington. As he takes on this new leadership role, he expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to the community. “I’m grateful to be chosen as the next President of Clatsop Community College,” said Hogue. “Community colleges create opportunities and support regional economic vitality. I am excited to get to work and bring our college community together for the benefit of all.”
