Students in the automotive program learn the entry level skills needed to succeed in various transportation sector jobs. Not only do they learn the legacy skills that previous generations had to know, but they also learn about the new and upcoming technologies that are in today’s automobiles.
They also discover a sense of accomplishment and independence by taking pride in knowing that they can repair their own vehicle or, at the very least, be able to understand the process of having major repairs or bodywork done. There are also paid internships that the students can participate in so that they can “test drive” what it’s like to work in the transportation industry.
