Clatsop Community College’s Rain Magazine Invites Community to Celebrate 54th “Food” Edition Launch Event

Clatsop Community College is excited to announce the annual Rain Magazine Launch Party, celebrating the release of its 54th edition. The event will take place on Friday, April 5th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Towler Hall 3rd floor Commons, located at the CCC Lexington Campus, 1651 Lexington Ave, Astoria.

This year, the Rain Magazine Launch Party marks the release of the “Food” edition, a thematic exploration of food as a centerpiece of community and cross-cultural celebration. Attendees can expect an evening filled with literary delights and culinary indulgence.

The event will feature readings by magazine contributors, who will share their published submissions and offer insights into the creative process behind their works. Additionally, members of the student editorial team will speak about their experiences in curating the magazine and will be available to answer questions from attendees.

In keeping with the theme of the “Food” edition, food and drink will be provided from local restaurants, offering attendees a taste of the vibrant culinary scene of Astoria and its surrounding areas. Moreover, attendees are encouraged to bring along a favorite printed recipe to share with fellow guests. Copies of recipes can be made onsite free of charge.

Copies of the 54th edition of Rain Magazine will be available for purchase throughout the event. The Rain Magazine Launch Party is free to the public, and all members of the community are welcome.
