On May 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the community is invited to an Open House at Clatsop Community College’s MERTS Campus. This exciting one-day event includes fun activities for all ages, demonstrations and vendor displays.
The CCC MERTS (Marine and Environmental Research and Training Station) campus, Oregon’s designated Maritime Training College, houses the College’s Maritime Science Department, Fire Response & Research Center, The Living Machine and the Industrial & Manufacturing Technology Center including Automotive Technology, Welding, and Historic Preservation and Restoration. All programs will feature displays and interactive demonstrations. Visitors can also meet representatives from Clatsop’s Criminal Justice program, bookstore, and college admissions, try out a virtual welding machine, explore Air National Guard and National Guard displays, and view classic cars and street rods.
