Background

I hold a BFA in painting and drawing from Baylor University in Waco, Texas (1989) and an MFA degree in painting and drawing  from Texas A&M Commerce (1993).  I have taught at the college level in both Texas and South Dakota for over a decade prior to relocating to the Northwest,  and I am currently in my nineteenth academic year teaching painting, drawing, and design at Clatsop Community College in Astoria, where I serve as director of the Royal Nebeker Gallery as well as teach a range of studio classes as well as art history.  I have exhibited my artwork in various regional and national exhibitions as well as internationally in England, Japan, and India.

Hobbies / Interests

I enjoy playing the piano, reading, hiking, traveling, drawing, and painting.  I love animals of all kinds, and I have three cats.
